Our pasture-raised beef liver is from Omaha-area cattle and is high in nutritional value. The liver is often used sautéed or in a stir fry. Best when cooked through, but not overcooked as it can get chewy quickly. Barreras Family Farm has the finest beef liver in Omaha, and it is hormone-and chemical-free.

Alfalfa vs. Grain Finished
All of our Hereford and Angus crossed beef enjoy a nutritious pasture mix of legumes and grasses their whole life. 90 days before harvest we finish some beef on Alfalfa and others on Milo (grain). This gives you an option on fat content. Doing this allows us to provide high quality, pasture-raised beef liver to our Omaha customers!
Our Alfalfa finished beef is sweeter in flavor and has less fat (90/10).
Our Milo/Grain finished beef is a traditional taste and standard marbling (80/20).
