Our Week in Photos, February 24th- March 2nd

At this point it feels like Spring is so very far away. With the delay in the fall harvest and the delays in getting our buildings up, we have lost a number of animals.  It’s not just the farming financial loss but the loss of each life, no matter how big or small, that weighs on our hearts.

The older boys feel it too. Teaching about life, death, quality of work, and maintaining a hopeful perspective while grounded in faith, is sometimes a challenge.

The Dodge Superbowl commercial from 2013 comes boldly to mind when challenges like we have had farming this winter arise.

It is in these moments that we reflect on all the relationships we have built with our community of customers. The opportunities to provide each of you with quality food, knowledge, and friendships.

We also rely on the knowledge and ideas from our farming friends all across the United States. Our legislative advocacy work for Nebraska farmers has blessed us with meeting both large and small farmers outside of our state borders. From those relationships we gain extra knowledge, new ideas, and more connections.

This is also our time to reflect on God’s living Word. I personally find myself clinging to Jeremiah 29: 11-13, Proverbs 3:5-10, Colossians 3:23, Romans 8:31, and Psalms 30:1-5. There is always strength in His promises. ❤️

It looks like there is more snow and cold in the forecast but on the bright side this gives us more time to reflect and prepare for Spring farming. Whenever it decides to come. ❤️

Hoping you and your family stay warm!

Love, Anthony & Mariel
