Fall 2016 Rent-A-Chick

Rent a pair of baby chicks for 2 weeks. They come with a box to live, feed, and instructions. At the end of 2 weeks, return them to the farm to live with the other chickens in our flock.

When you return your chicks, you will receive a certificate for a dozen eggs, which your chicks will start to lay in the spring.

During pick up times children will be given instructions on how to care for their chicks.

Email the farm for a reservation form.  Chicks are limited.

  1. We are moving there on June 5th and I’m very excited to learn about your farm because you’re living my dream, too!!! All of it. Except that I just want a petting zoo instead of a working farm because I’m transitioning to a plant-based lifestyle and I wouldn’t be able to deal with the guilt from eating my own animals or selling them for food, or killing them at all. My personal goal is to live a cruelty-free lifestyle. However, I don’t judge others and your lives look amazing. I can’t wait to meet you all, and play with your animals. I missed the military spouse appreciation event but can I please make a reservation to come visit once we’re moved into our house? Also I want to rent a chick the next time it’s offered. Can I please make a reservation for that? Also you seem really nice and I think we should be friends. My husband will come with me to the farm! Let me know! Thanks!

    1. Greetings Jeannie,
Go ahead and get settled first and after your move we would love to see you and your family at the farm. There are some wonderful people in Omaha you will enjoy it. 🙂

      See you soon,
      Mariel
